About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual that would be interested in starting in the Trades as a Low voltage apprentice with LEC. This position is great for someone with little or no experience who is looking for more than just a job, but a career in the electrical industry learning alongside skilled Power Limited Technicians. You will Assist technicians in pulling cable, installing pathway, and terminating low voltage cabling systems. You will be in a high-paced work environment on various construction sites. On the job training and Industry certifications will be provided as a part of your career progression towards your Power Limited Technicians License.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, terminate, test Cat6/6a, and assist with fiber optics
  • Work with a lead technician to install various copper and fiber systems
  • Assist Lead technician with testing and troubleshooting structure cabling systems
  • Take on minor low voltage tasks associated with copper and fiber
  • Miscellaneous duties as required

What You’ll Bring:

  • HS diploma
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Registered for Unlicensed Power Limited Technician License
  • Willingness to travel to and from job sites
  • Strong work ethic

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in all elements depending on job location and time of year
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, kneel, stoop, or drive for long periods of time
