About the Role
Seeking an ambitious and detail oriented Electrical drafter / designer. This individual assists the project manager, architect, and/or engineer in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of technical support for projects. This primarily entails preparation of AutoCAD drawings, but can also include shop drawing review, field data collection, and other support functions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare project drawings and construction documents in AutoCAD and Bluebeam for both new design and improvement projects
- Coordinate preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts with both internal and external clients
- Attend project meetings to resolve technical coordination issues and initiate and track RFIs and notify project management of changes that might impact material and labor costs
- Review and analyze project documents and identify drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost efficiency
- Ensure efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents
- Draft finished designs from engineer’s sketches or from other engineering documentation
- Review questions or concerns with the engineers or project managers and redline the drawing set accordingly
- Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures
- Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline
- Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects
- Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts
- Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems
- Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers
- Performs other duties as assigned.
